Dof Viewer version 1.30

A new view improves the DoF visualization with respect to the aperture/focal/distance parameters.
This bar graph view shows if the DoF is infinite (or greater than 100m (328 ft)) when the bar is over 100%. In the other case, the graph represents the distribution of the DoF for the aperture scale. You can quickly check the DoF improvement in function of aperture thanks to the 100% and 50% lines. The 50% line represents a DoF divided par 2 compare to the max DoF displayed.

With the iPad version, the main screen shows both the original view and the new view. Dof Viewer still supports both the portrait and landscape mode

The iPhone version requires an horizontal "swipe" to change the view.

  1. - I have 58mm, 75mm, 110mm, 150mm, 180mm, and 400mm 4x5 lenses. I wish to select these focal lengths from focal selection menu then display only selected focal lengths.
    - Also, I need to see aperture list from f32 to f64.

  2. Hi! Great app. Heres a little thing Ive encountered though; the set distance changes when going above 70mm, I see what you did there, but the distance should be unchanged even if the scale changes, maybe you oversaw this when programming, as the slider stays put but the numbers change. Otherwise a great app, best dof app ive ever used :)

  3. Hello Heinrich,

Thanks for the feedback. You're right, the distance should be unchanged when the scale is changing. I fixed the problem in a new release which is under review.
Still working on a way to allow the user to choose its set of focals ... stay tuned !
By the way, if you find it is a great app, don't hesitate to leave a small comment on the app store ;-)

    Regards

  4. Like a previous user, I would like to see more easily selectable focal lengths and a broader range of selectable focal lengths --- 600mm and 800mm on a 35mm or cropped sensor dslr.

    Thanks
